How Fear Affects Your Health

This episode addresses the role fear plays in health and what happens when you feel afraid. You will also learn ways to replace the root lies that are causing your stress.

The Mechanism of Fear

Fears can be triggered by many things.

The prefrontal cortex sends a message that there is danger. The adrenal glands and the amygdala receive this information and kick into action for your protection. .
The adrenals are found just above the kidneys and the amygdala is found in the middle of your brain and is only the size of an almond. The amygdala borrows some of what’s hard wired in the adrenal glands to send out a warning signal.

The amygdala sends a threat warning to the adrenals so the body can get ready to do one of the following things:

  • Fight
  • Flight
  • Freeze
  • Fawn

Your body is built to survive so breaking these patterns can be difficult. The amygdala checks with the heart. The heart stores all this information with 60,000 purkinje fibers that have DNA where you can find your ancestral history. It’s the way that information can be passed from generation to generation through the DNA.

Negativity Can Bring Your Immune System Down

Commonality comes from sharing the same sense of threat. Misery loves company. Others are sharing my same experience. However, in sharing the common life experiences we do need to be careful not to be sucked into negativity because it has an effect on our health. Instead, focus on the positive response your immune system will have as it restores your health.

You control what goes into your body whether food, water, blue light. The goal is to live a long, productive life with resilience and vitality.

Fear Has a Spiritual Component

There is a spiritual component of fear. Perfect love kicks fear out. We walk in faith doing our part. Your part is to take care of your temple and to trust that God created your body for regeneration. Your thymus is educated to adapt to whatever my body is facing.

Believe the Truth

We all believe lies based on our past experiences. Perhaps it’s what was modeled for us. 

Replace Lies with Truth
